It's been a long time, I have a lot of activities within my days.. and it's all about life.

So here's my latest painting I just done today, about a month progression in total.

The Spirit Within came from my personal writings about inner-soul that ever individual have. A gift from Above. If we talk about sense of nature, we commonly mentioning about the spirit within. In our lives, balance is important. And our inner-soul have a big role for that. There are sentence "Everything starts from the inside." which is the spirit itself.

Several common things that everybody knows : Efforts, Will, and Courage. All of these things are human nature.

Okay, let's just get to the story.

The Spirit Within
"One ever tell that the balance came from the inside, our inner-soul reflection may different from who we really are. Inside the space of dream, there are endless distance. Our lives is not about dream, but through reality we express our desire... behind the mask of reality, we walk down in our own way of life.

All purpose starts from inside, and how wise we express in real life, world will sure speak about truth itself."

Umm... maybe a little bit confusing knowing the original writings were in other language.. >____>'

But the main concept behind this painting is generally like that.

I must tell why the figure came out like that, it's anthropomorphic art I tried to bring up in every of my artworks. The pose and scenery are made to support the main idea of this painting, inner-soul, or other words, pureness.

The spirit (blue hawk or whatever it came out in that shape, and with antlers) represent the indecent, cruelty and absurdness that exist within... me.. duh.. to be honest, yea.. err.. never mind it's not important.

Alright... progression which most people would love to see.

I greatly love the painting and the idea behind it (which makes it feel more alive and meaningfull, at least to me). I just have one question, is it male or female? Maybe it does not even matter since maybe you wanted to touch on what is inide, "The spirit within", etc.

It seems like you believe that cruelty, partly, comes from the inside "The spirit (blue hawk or whatever it came out in that shape, and with antlers) represent the indecent, cruelty and absurdness that exist within... me.. duh.. to be honest, yea.. err.. never mind it's not important." I think that is interesting. If the inside is totally cruel and absurd, how can anything beautiful ever come out from it? Does this mean that cruelty and absurdness is beautiful? No, according to me... I believe there is a battle between different desires within us. Can any desire be good? I do not know, honestly, for some things maybe, but for pure good? Anyways, that means I believe there is some kind of good in us all, whether now or later. Something just keeps luring us away.

It originally a male werewolf, the original painting has a 'fix' anatomy (visible genital area) which I have my own reason why male gender became the figure inside the painting. No big deal though~

Good comment! I appreciate it very much, for small details further about the concept behind this painting. Let's start from the teachings of life, how to respect the life itself, cruelty and absurdness are much more like the shadow from a good life. These are rational matters that exist inside every kind of mortals. Everyone has different intensity of it, good or bad.

And no one can measure which is pure good (or bad). ;]
I think the conclusion why painting came out like that is to assert that it's just the matter of desires, just like you said, and how wise we pick which turn into good or bad. It's up to ourselves.
